Is there really someone who's undecided sitting there on a couch saying "you know, I really like bernie but he doesn't have an obama ad like the other candidates do so I'm not gonna vote for him"?

I am sad to see the candidate who I thought would make the best president drop out of the race, but it does feel good to not be torn anymore and to just 100% feel the Bern now. Let's fucking go.

My wife has been fully on-board with Bernie all along but never told me. She said she's pumped that I'll shut up about Warren now.

Yeah but like who's main issue is "well, he doesn't have an obama ad"? Maybe it's not that wild that he never did until now

I think anyone who chooses Biden over Bernie in any sense is wrong, and I have trouble understanding their priorities regardless of endorsement.

With that said, a lot of the people insisting that Warren must endorse Bernie within some arbitrary deadlines for the sake of the progressive movement are the same ones who were furious about the Super Tuesday endorsements sweep. You’d be better off leaving this thread and donating. I wouldn’t recommend phone banking because you clearly don’t have the ability to rally people to your causes, which requires a much more measured sense of persuasion than you’ve shown over the last week to a group of people who fundamentally agree with your positions.

  10. I don't think it's so much of anyone saying "he doesn't have an Obama ad" but yeah a lot of older voters that miss Obama would see the ad and probably feel more comfortable considering Bernie

it's not that he doesn't have an obama ad, it's that he needs them to hear obama talking nicely about bernie

There are some blue checkmarks who say they're going from Warren to Biden because they got some mean tweets. There are far more Warren supporters who are likely open to being moved to Bernie.

There's no point in worrying about the former - they probably were never going to support Bernie anyway. Worry about the latter. This isn't over.

  23. Maybe not, but I bet there's a bunch that are thinking they're weary of Bernie and feel comforted by seeing Obama with him and his "support."

the argument is the best chance for warren's policies to carry on in the race and hopefully get enacted is that bernie is the best candidate to carry those policies to victory. when we talk about building a progressive coalition that means bernie and his supporters have to be willing to reach out and make those offers and welcome those voters just as much as warren and her voters need to be willing to take our hand and make the endorsement and commit to voting for bernie. both campaigns and their voters need to be offering things to help the overall goals we share.

I can't fault anyone for being upset with warren throughout the race, no one likes to see their candidate attacked, especially not be someone we all had as our next best choice and someone we consider an ally to our campaign's movement and shared goals. I'm not going to say any more than that because everyone has to work through what follows from here on out in their own way, but however we all feel internally about each other's campaigns, now is the time to put as much effort, money, and energy behind bernie as we can.
