I’m not downtown, but lots of reports out of Seattle tonight that cops were ordered to turn off their body cams before the protest. Then they started attacking peaceful protestors.

Also, what is with all the support in here for the destruction of places like Target and Luis Vuitton? There are cashiers, janitors, even managers/employees at lower levels that will be affected negatively by all this.

 

Hardly the point, but not a single LV employee will be affected by this in any way whatsoever. They’re worth billions, they can afford whatever loss prevention and cleanup that they need, they can afford to pay those managers/cashiers/employees more. Fuck em

Please. Fox News deserves worse than that. Watch that video. Literally nothing happens to them. They get “chased” out by the crowd as they walk out and some mic packs get ripped off. Not even cameras. All told that’s like maybe a couple hundred for the lavalier mics. Cry me a damn river. It’s a drop in the damn bucket for all of the seeds of racism, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia, fascism, anti-intellectualism, and general chaos they’ve sown for years. Anyone who works for them is complicit and they know it.

Retail stores have insurance out the ass and will not feel even the slightest bit of hurt and I highly doubt the cashiers or janitors at target are going to be in anyway affected by this worse than they are by target providing less than adequate pay, health care, and retirement.
