For real, these are all massive COVID outbreaks waiting to happen.

Don't get me wrong, I am absolutely for protesting and standing up to the police - but this is gonna be a big problem in a few weeks.

hopefully being outside helps with that. The sun was out during the day so If those studies about it dying fast in direct UV light, that’ll help.

 

It might help some, but you are still talking about a lot of yelling in close quarters.

 

The livestream I found was sort of hard to keep track of in parts, but there were clearly tons of people there and at one point over 11k watching that specific stream.

 

The overwhelming majority are wearing masks which is good, but still, and even though they are outside, being in such close proximity with so many different people it seems inevitable there will be increases in cases. That's definitely a concern. But it's crazy how watching this at times you forget we are even in the middle of a pandemic

There's going to be a peaceful protest in the town over from me on Monday, I am inclined to go, but also hesitant because I have still been trying to avoid going anywhere with large groups of people. Also not sure how many people will actually end up going in this predominantly white, conservative area I live in lol. It's actually going to be held in the same place the "Freedom Rally" aka Trump rally was held at last week.

 

yeah it’s worrisome. I’m way more worried about people without masks than I am about some buildings getting burnt or windows broken.

That is true. Yeah, I couldn't give a fuck if they burn down government buildings. I am glad there are people doing what they can to protect the small businesses.

I am happy to see so many masks in the videos.

The thing is, there's probably like 3 more levels of barrier behind that barrier before you actually get to the white house fence haha. Every time I've been in DC it's been virtually impossible to get within like 3 blocks of the White House. usually because some group has the area in front of it permitted for a demonstration or event of some sort.
