All the senate nominees are basically hickenlooper clones, glad I don't have to vote for these losers who will be out after one term.

Part of why I think we need a female VP. Take that step in the right direction.

  5. wandering around downtown, shirt pulled over my mouth, screaming 'WASH YOUR HANDS' at strangers in the supermarket, this is my life now

(seriously though I am more aware of everything and everyone that touches stuff these days, like do they need to hold my ID when I buy beer? Apple Pay and no one touching my card is very nice.)

  7. My guess is that it's gonna happen with either of the two still in the race. Both have seemed to lean that way.

Voter suppression in Texas at least seemed youth and POC targeted. From what I understand Bernie leads with younger black folks, sans South Carolina which is overall more conservative.

Anyways, like most racial groups, they are not a monolith and vary north and south, young and old, rural and urban, east coast and west.

  10. I could get on board with that, but she has never seemed like the kind to pull political moves/strings in the same way. Part of the reason it hurt her campaign. Treasury Secretary has always felt like the spot that avoids, some of, the weird politicking part that Mitch does to horrific effect. I dunno.

I’ve been thinking about this for her or Bernie since forever and the thing I keep coming back to...does the Dem nominee really have any power in forcing the Dem senate to vote for a new leader?

no one knew! The democrats were the party of slavery in 1861, why wasn’t anyone taught this in school?! Liberal indoctrination, that’s why!

Actually, the Republican Party of today would be unrecognizable to Lincoln. He waged a war to fight federal authority over the states. That's not exactly small government.

And if she endorses biden, the conspiracies will be even more endless rather than the fact that it's all about power, even if she hates him personally

  23. I was wondering about the idea of Sanders -> Trump voters not coming back to Sanders from 2016. I'd be very curious to see how spread that became.
