Btw I finally watched the "imagine" fiasco. I can't ever finish it. It has to be one of the biggest swings and misses in history. Do I think all those celebrities are assholes or whatever. Of course not. Just a big big big big miss.

I read a lot of mentions of there being a decent amount of positive news today - and I know this is a very loaded phrase to use - but I feel like we arrived remarkably quickly at looking at a day where we basically put up death numbers equivalent to 9/11 as a pretty good day.

I got kicked out of one last week. I didn't even know they closed them. The ranger told us as we were leaving. Guess it was a good thing we got there early and didn't see a single soul. The gnats were in full blow though. Yuck.

 

I’ve just been skating in a few empty parking lots around where I live. They dumped sand on one of our skateparks and skate stopped some of the others. I was avoiding the skatepark since mid March anyway.

Getting out and “doing some Ollie’s” right now has literally kept me sane though.

 

obviously it's fine as long as you're safe, I just don't see that at a skate park

the rules with the parks in NJ/NY was/is mega confusing so i dont blame ya if you didnt know. I hated the way they handled it because all it did was squeeze everyone into smaller and smaller choices for parks and having smaller parks/towns deal with it. I have trails near me that i've never ever seen a single person at and now it's flooded daily (and it wasn't like that in the first 2 weeks of this thing).

I understand there isn't a perfect solution because the more popular parks and trails were absolutely hammered when this thing first started and there were a lot of asshole groups of 8+ just completely ruining it for everyone. I'm more in the favor of keeping all parks open and anyone not practicing social distancing and in groups larger than 6, you get asked to leave or fined.

Huh. What do you guys think? I was talking to my friend who told me that she's not seeing her bf (of 3 years) during all of this stuff. I was a little surprised by that. They obviously don't live together, but i still feel like that's making too strict of a commitment no? I think you should be keeping your inner circle as small as possible, but dear god, i assumed everyone was going to continue to see their serious significant others though no?

People gotta do what they gotta do and i'm not judging, just... what do you guys think?

 

I kinda agree with keeping skate parks closed. The ones near me whenever I drove by it before the pandemic, I always saw skaters hugging and kissing each other

 

I don't trust other people to be as careful as me, unfortunately. Haven't seen anyone but my wife and baby. Mom drops of groceries because she works at a grocery store, and we see her through my storm door.

It's depressing as fuck.

If they both live alone, then I would say it’s probably okay to go see each other. At the very least, they could definitely meet up and go for walks and I see nothing wrong with that.

no one even uses my local skatepark cuz theres lots of cops around and they shut it down all the time anyway
