Pramila Jayapal too liberal for Biden?

 

i made this mistake last week, she wasn't born in the USA

 

I wouldn't hate him picking Abrams, but I think he should pick someone on the progressive side of things to balance it out and convince progressives to vote for him. Abrams is not progressive.

Went too far in calling open borders, you are right it was decriminalizing the crossing aspect. Still believe my point is right in that the polling for that policy does not look good and is one of the least popular progressive ideas that has been talked about. I believe he had people do a hand raise if they would agree to it. (Again I could be wrong here, I have been sick the last few days so the brain is not firing 100%)

 

Bernie needs to get on some prime time interviews too. He needs to get the message out that he’s still in a better position today than he was against HRC in 2016 after Super Tuesday and etc. start changing the narrative A bit

 

She's not liz but her voting efforts would definitely help progressives everywhere else

 

yeah but if he gets in the ticket that policy will very much be out the window and he can concentrate on pushing things like loan forgiveness, wealth tax, etc. the types of things that absolutely NEED to be on the platform imo

 

It's gonna be, do we want the ratings of a close primary every week and the debates or do we want to just sink him out completely?

I just found out Pressley is 46, so yea, if both candidates weren't east coasters I think she could have been a choice

Oh I completely agree with you here, I would want a progressive VP pick if Biden wins the nom. I am just very concerned on tying that to a VP pick with a major stance in his background that polls that badly. I can't even imagine with all this corona stuff that Trump would jump on the virus + the open border (I know that open borders is not what Castro brought forth)

That said I shouldn't worry about what Trump is going to say because no matter what is going to be full of shit and hyperbolic to the max.

Biden would probably pick someone like Kamala or Gillibrand

 

She is my number one choice by a decent margin. I wouldn't call her perfect though

1) Her lack of experience could be framed as a problem given Biden's age.

2) Even with her as VP I don't think we swing GA. Whereas a midwestern VP could help more in very important states and a Latinx VP could help in Arizona. (She could help swing NC though)

3) Her embracing Bloomberg's money could be a bigger deal for people than I'd like it to be

No one is picking a VP before they get the nomination. Way too much to lose and little to be gained.
