Does anyone believe the pandemic could possibly still be going on when it's time to vote in the GE?

If we aren’t stupid and we continue social distancing, we will be in much better shape by then, but a good chance life still won’t be back to normal

Yeah I 100% expect it to still be going on in November, and it might be worse than right now.

Im already having anxiety about the state sending me back to the germ factory that is school in September

  12. i don't think it's the banks that control the timeline right now, unless maybe WF has all of the payments ready and they just spread them out over a few days

If the reports are true and we're going to get a second wave of it in the fall then 100% yes absolutely. I think by July/August some things might be "open" again but we'll still have some social distancing in place. Then we'll get to do this all over again :upside:

  14. I am kinda preparing for the next school year to be all remote...or at least September - December

I know I’m really speaking for everyone here, but I really hope this doesn’t carry on into the fall. I don’t expect things to be completely better, but I don’t know if I can take another semester of online classes. It really just feels like I’m not learning as much as I should be and it’s just so hard to focus on my own house. Plus I have two lab classes this semester that are basically not helping at all when I can’t do the experiments myself

I imagine we'll have to stagger students... maybe some students come in MWF, some TR? If it's still bad, I don't see how they could justify bringing students back into schools.

If they do reopen schools fully, we're already looking at massive budget cuts and classes are going to be even more crowded. I'm terrified.

  17. I believe that until we get a vaccine, this is our life. It'll go and up down for sure, and we may get to have some normalcy this summer, but fall is going to feel similar to what we have right now I think.

This is based on no real info, but my bank website (PNC) is down right now so this seems feasible

It's pretty awesome how YouTube and Facebook are asserting almost no control over the conspiracy theories surrounding COVID-19.

I wonder if the spikes will be less and less since some people will have built up immunities to it by that point.

that’s what I was thinking and hoping for...but the more govs talk about “opening it up” the more I feel like they’re gonna expect things to be back to “normal” in September and theyre gonna send us all back saying oh there’s only a few dozen cases in the state now it’s okay and then lots of people are gonna get sick
