Also, I know this Coronavirus Dashboard website is globally, but I had it still open on a tab and I had checked it around two hours ago. I refreshed it and it said 204,550 cases. this is what it’s at now

 

yeah we should be set for this school year at least since state budgets are already set and what not.

not sure what happens if this leaks into next school year.
Also not sure how state budgets are going to handle the lack of economic activity.

 

Wed. 11:30 a.m.: Austintown father is latest to fight coronavirus

One case near my old hometown. 40 year old guy. Non-smoker. Healthy. Didn’t travel. Got it from just being out and about. These are the cases that scare me.

 

Most of the workers in service and hospitality industries don’t make even what teachers make regularly to begin with plus they’re rarely offered benefits, so often go without health insurance. They are in a desperate situation right now and Congress is fighting over means testing. I’m happy I’m in a salary job right now but I am very worried for my friends and family who are out of work with no benefits. I’m having trouble even offering encouragement or advice at this point. I don’t know what people are supposed to do.

i feel you. One of my best friends (since middle school) is still leaving with us since being displaced from the storm a year and a half ago and he works at a pizza place. He’s a delivery driver and probably will still be able to work, but it’s scary to think about what’s going to happen if he loses his job.

Ok for all the people not voting for Biden if he gets the nomination. What then? Is there anything the people can do if unified? I don't know anything about organizing something like that but I know there are groups out there like the DSA,Black Rose and others and it seems like the best bet is for all those groups to unify to make one multi-faceted movement to dismantle neo-liberalism. Could something like that actually work if there were enough supporters? Also is there any proof yet the DNC rigged the election?

 

maybe. learning curve. we’re pretty inconsequential and only a year in but stumbled in luckily to a very nice and generous part of the scene
