  11. Oh most definitely. But that argument is much easier to make when he loses the EC by 2 points. He needs to get knocked the fuck out.

  12. The only way I see a "knockout" is if something very weird happens like Florida goes really early and he flips Texas and Arizona. And I don't know what it would even take for that to happen at this point.

A loss is still a loss. Really his only saving hope from it being close is that maybe he can just get the courts to give it to him like they did with Bush in 2000. Which I'll admit, is certainly a possibility.

  14. I am 100% considering renting a cabin for election week and going off the grid. No internet. Just board games and DVDs and shit. Come back a week after the election and then see what type of madness is happening, lol

Despite extremely different demos, it's hard for me to see Biden winning Florida without also winning the "blue wall" and/or some of AZ/NC/GA. And in that case it would prob count as a knockout of sorts. Tacking Florida's 29 EC votes onto the rest of the Blue Wall gets Biden to 309. And of course taking Florida would make up for the loss of one of ANY of the blue wall states, though obviously it's a closer final score if that happens.

Interestingly enough, the conventional wisdom seems to be that Biden is going to win NE-2, which does make the possibility of a tie less likely (though depending on what states broke which way, it could also not help Biden win at all OR result in that 2 EC win you guys are talking about hah)

  16. Make it a game like those super bowl people to see who can be the last to find out the winner

After 2016 I told myself I'd be taking a personal day from work the day after presidential elections from now on. I still want to do that even though we're teaching virtually, but I feel an obligation to not do it so I can talk with my students about the results the next day lol

Can confirm this works. I haven't gotten pulled over in a while but when I was younger I got out of a few tickets just by presenting it. Always thought it seemed shady but who wouldn't take advantage of it.

My dad has been saying for years after he retires he just wants to move to NC or some state like that in a small house on a dirt road in the middle of nowhere so he’ll have nothing to worry about.

I think he’s only half joking when he says that
