I lost my job cuz of the pandemic yet I had 3+ years of 401k contributions. I have no idea how much is in it. I never invested in stocks cuz I don’t want to deal with how rich people are emotional on a day to day basis.

The fact that we can know what we know about climate change, know the immediate work that needs to be done to help mitigate the oncoming catastrophy, and yet one of the main people running to lead this county can talk for over an hour and literally never bring it up except for a quick bit talking about how he made the progress worse...

you could literally ignore every other bit of the conventions. that alone should disqualify Trump

Also my girlfriend tested positive for coronavirus so I have to have it to. Rapid tests have a low accuracy and we're getting a better test soon, also both feeling fine with no symptoms, but uhhh, its a bummer and scary and this shit should have been handled months ago so I can't help but feel like this sucks.

Anyway, hope every ghoul packed on that lawn gets this virus they're ignoring and dies the slowest possible death while still being dead before November.

I just had a colleague on a Teams Meeting tell us all to watch Plandemic on YouTube. I don’t think I will, but thanks anyway.

Do all states require absentee ballots to be in by election day? That's how it is here - by 5pm. How long do those usually take to be counted?? Never voted this way before :-p

Well I just caught up on everything from yesterday. I took a day away from everything and slept for 14 hours (best night of sleep I’ve had in a long time). Looks like it was the same shit different day.

Each state is different in their election laws but I would be shocked if they allowed ballots to be mailed in any later than 11/3. It’ll at least have to be post marked by that date. Same as having open and closing times for in person polls. As long as you’re in line by 7pm, for example, you’ll get your vote counted.

how long it takes depends on if county clerks are allowed to count ballots ahead of time or not. In CO county clerks can count ballots starting on October 19 but can’t release the results of those early counts until 7pm on 11/3. Some state’s may not allow early counting so those are states well definitely see delayed results from.
