  1. Mueller got played by Barr. No one read what was actually in the report and how Incredibly damning it was after his little letter.

But didn't the report rule out criminality it regards to collusion? Seems to me if it was actually the case that Stone coordinated with Wikileaks and Trump almost certainly knew about it... we needed more than "Misjudgment but not actual criminal acts for collusion and stop short of actually saying he obstructed justice which conveniently gives Trump an out there too"

Wow Roger Stone really did earn that commutation didn't he. Must be nice to be above the law.

  4. It said he couldn’t “prove” it in a way to bring charges mostly because of what would amount to obstruction. It was very legally legalese written.

but that is kinda my point. lots of legalese that painted a damning picture but allowed Trump to weasel out of it without any consequences.

Was the legalese Mueller's way of saying all he could with both hands tied behind his back in hopes that America would be smart enough to read through the lines? Or was it his way of appearing to be impartial while still ultimately giving Trump everything he wanted? I remain unconvinced either way, though think its clear America was not smart enough to read through the lines.

  8. That says it clearer than I am being.

If people read the Mueller report, actually read it, there's practically no way to come away thinking "oh this is fake/Trump is exonerated."

Rubio says “No collusion”, so that’s more than enough for Republicans. This Russia story is a complete non-issue regarding this election, because Rubio has parroted exactly what they needed to hear. It's a damn shame that this is just one of, I don't know, 25 other things that would have derailed a "normal" presidency. Trump is scandal proof, Republicans don't give a shit, and he'll get re-elected.

Again, that's not scandal proof. That's polarization and a President, that if he wins, will do so because of mass disenfranchisement, possibly actual corruption to ballots, and the electoral college. He is not liked by a wide majority of the country. And there's very little chance he actually gets more votes in this upcoming election. /rant

all of them would be so much better if they got rid of the "in god we trust"

Its not even the forced religious bullshit that makes it bad. Text doesn't belong on flags.

Yeah, I don't actually believe he's scandal proof, per se, but rather than his "scandals" really don't have much impact on his (albeit low) approval rating. I would argue that his scandals actually help him, as they constantly keep him on the minds of voters and, let's face it, it entertains many people. People who vote but don't really pay attention to actual policy will merely vote to "Keep American Great!" or they'll vote because he says he's pro-life.

We're talking about a gameshow host of a very popular tv show, so I actually believe the old adage of there is no such thing as bad press applies to Trump. The people who are Trump supporters are passionately so, and are almost guaranteed to get out and vote. Meanwhile, as we see in poll after poll, Biden's main appeal is that he is not Trump. I'd wager far fewer of people fostering this feeling will get out to vote. I mean, I certainly won't be surprised (and am not, with the already in progress USPS fiasco) by further election tampering, but I don't even think he needs to do that in order to win. He's got his entire base in tact, spineless Republicans who may say they don't like him but hate Biden (and the very thought of a woman of color that close to the presidency) even more, and the general apathy of millions who have been disillusioned by these past few years.
