tbh it’s just bringing home a bit the already stark reality that’s been painted out there by in depth stories about how youtube creates reactionaries like some sort of factory.

 

Like, if I went on a youtube channel called "Bathing In Liberal Tears" and saw all sorts of comments saying "Dems sucks, Trump is the greatest president we have ever had!", I'm not going to just assume that those comments mean the majority of Americans have that opinion lol

My biggest concern as I get ready to have kids at some point in the next two years is raising them in a world where it is so easy for people to be brainwashed and radicalized on YouTube. They don't even know it's happened to them. It's sad and also frightening.

I was wondering where I'd seen this person before, they're featured in this Contrapoints video about people who exploit and monetize cringe figures. Its a pretty interesting piece, I recommend you watch it and all of her other videos that I posted before but you never engaged with. Double speed if it helps.
