At some point Bernie and Biden are going to have to start canceling rallies aren't they? That hurts Bernie so much more.

 

Some shower thoughts I just had...two distinct possibilities for 2021:

House: Dems
Senate: Repubs
Pres: Biden

or

House: Dems
Senate: Dems
Pres: Trump


I know scenario #2 seems pretty much more unlikely because I have trouble seeing something like Kelly winning in AZ but Biden losing there and etc.....

but..

Am I wrong for thinking that scenario #2 might actually produce more progressive policy on some things just because Trump can be tricked into supporting shit thatll make him look good? Like if you’re Bernie Sanders aren’t you going to the White House daily just to be “the last guy Trump talked to” before he goes spouting off to the media? Lol

 

fingers crossed to the point of breaking that trump gets corona from shaking hands, he deserves it

then people can forget about electability bc pence isn’t winning and we can all feel the bern

Big issues where Hilary didn’t have the perceived (fairly or unfairly) high-ground from which to go after Trump in 2016:

Foreign policy
Trade
Corruption
Sexual harassment
”Establishment” label

Which of these are areas that one could argue Biden will do better in?

 

Back in like late 2018, my friend predicted that the 2020 dem primary would come down to Biden and Bernie, and Biden would end up getting it and then losing badly to Trump. Then during the midterm election the republicans would take back the house and make big gains in the senate.

He just may end up correct

fairly or unfairly, these are the issues where Trump was able to say “you can’t accuse me of X, because you did X too” and muddy the waters. He couldn’t do that to Obama in 2008. But I feel he can definitely do it to Biden. You’re right that Biden won’t have to compete with sexism. I still think Trump will beat him on these things though.

EDIT: and when i say “beat” i just mean beat back attacks from Biden/Dems on them.
