  2. That is one way to do it, but it'd have to be a sliding scale for businesses and the # of employees to profit/revenue to some degree, but even that would take a while to roll out at federal scale and/or enforce.

I don't disagree with you about need, but when the question was "why not now," and the answer is a switch can't be flipped on the economy like that without consequences. Without a ramp up, you'd see companies, maybe some even as big as Walmart, laying people off. Which would hurt the minimum wage needs to go up argument even more. Part of the slope is to keep that from happening.

People like him more and don’t have preconceived notions about his being “fake” and etc. Hes much better at the “retail politics” thing. People like him when they talk to him:shrug:

I think there’s definitely a large part of that being sexism of course.

  14. No they don't. Hillary was polling better, even in the "favorability" category, than Biden is.

You were just responding to a tweet that says the exact opposite of this. This is what started the entire conversation:

His likability is a big reason why he was leading in so many early polls. The best part about the campaign and debates so far has been to show people that he’s not as sharp as we once was and other candidates have better ideas, which is doing a good job eroding that early support.

  16. Correct. And yet the question was how is he a better candidate than Clinton, since that's the claim you made.

Where were you when Mark Hamill started his alt-right YouTube radicalization? I was in a Walgreens parking lot in a very Trump-supporting county in southeast Michigan. What a time to be alive.

“Than dems REMEMBER him being”. Exactly what I just said. He started out the campaign a better candidate than Hillary because people remembered him more fondly than they ever did with her. Biden not being a better candidate than some of his
Opponents =/= not being better than HRC was in 2016

I would love to somehow grift these racists and then donate all the money to Ilhan’s campaign.

Peoples memory of a Vice President =/= his value as a campaign. He had name recognition and nostalgia for the Obama era from centerists. That doesn’t make him a better candidate.

That’s akin to saying a band who sells 100k records is better than the one who sells 10k. What an absurd statement.

No they didn't. It's practically even among dems at this point in the race.

If your entire argument is he was more liked, and the polling says you're wrong on that point, you're wrong that he's a better candidate.

Dems really liked Hillary in 2014-15!
