I just have to say...

The only difference between my family and the people in these camps is what year they came to this country and that reality doesn't escape me. My bisabuelo was a child when they left Jalisco for the United States. His mother was a sex worker, they had no means or status. Was it legal for them to come here? HA. The internet is such a hard place to be right now - it's so crucial that this information is spread and that people can't hide from what's happening, but I almost have to disassociate just to stay functional. And that's coming from a place of privilege because it's not like anyone in those camps gets to detach from what's happening to them.
