Ironically, I'm sure those same people are also the ones who will probably really enjoy their new upcoming HBO series

 

I’ve been arguing with my friend all morning about that stupid petition (He’s in favor of it because he feels wronged.) It’s boiled down to him saying “We deserve better!” and me saying “No, you don’t. Fans don’t get to hijack art and dictate what it should be because they don’t like it.”

 

Those kind of people literally think they could write something better themselves, LOL

 

The extreme entitlement of fans feels like it's reaching fever pitch lately. In music, movies, and now tv.

 

I've had this argument as well. Nobody owes us anything. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean you're entitled to have it changed. And of course, any changes would just make a different portion of the fanbase angry about something. It's stupid. George RR Martin doesn't even owe us the last two books. It's his thing. He should be able to do what he wants with it.
