Well I guess we'll have to see what happens if we get to a brokered convention. Hopefully it won't come to that.

  2. A brokered convention doesn't mean a rando installment of Tammy Baldwin. So, we probably won't see because even I, the most cynic of cynics, don't think the party is that fucking stupid. They'd just let Pete take it before they'd literally ruin the party for generations to come with this Tammy Baldwin idea.

So Bernie gets 26% of the vote, but 24% of the state delegates
Warren gets 20% of the vote but only 17% of the state delegates
Pete gets 24% of the vote for 26% of the state delegates
And Biden only gets 13% of the vote but manages to get over 15% of the state delegates and still qualify for the threshold

    so dumb

Right. And then because instead of trying to find a compromise they just went with one of the candidates, a lot of people will be pissed and Trump will waltz to victory in November

this could happen regardless of what the polls say, tbh

also just as likely that either he or Barr will go to the microphone in this scenario and announce an investigation into his opponent, that’d be way easier to get away with than postponing the election

  6. There you go with "compromise" again. :crylaugh:

This is pathological at this point. I mean, I can't look away from the train wreck, but dude, for your own good ... just .... stop.

How are you still not seeing that somebody who didn't even campaign is not a compromise? I can guarantee you that the terrible optics of that would far outweigh any possibility of a few voters who see it as such.

  8. Something's weird with this new IDP dump. Playing with my spreadsheet, the Black Hawk numbers ... aren't right. I have the numbers they reported already, they're different.

The post that started it all. It seemed so innocuous then. How could any of us have known the chaos it was about to unleash? We were so young, so naive.

  10. so at first I thought this was just because IDP has only 95% of precincts in this list but that doesn't explain how steyer has more votes in the IDP count...

  11. Looks like ... Deval Patrick got some of Sanders results in Polk County.

I'm sure that's going to go over well online before they fix it. :crylaugh:

How is it not a compromise? Compromise requires everyone to give something up.

If you're friends vote on where to go to dinner and half of you vote for pizza and the other half vote for burgers but neither half really wants the other, isn't going to get tacos a compromise?

  14. Patrick getting 1.1% of SDE's is a big red flag.

Something got entered into the system wrong here.

Jeez you people are still talking about a brokered convention?

Let’s wait until April to see where we stand in the delegate count before even thinking about having this discussion and bringing up random compromises like Baldwin.

I bet @Jason Tate misses arguing with me about making Gillibrand VP after this nonsense;-p

A compromise in this scenario would be one of the candidates accepting some of the pieces of other candidates platforms, taking one of them on as VP, etc.

Why on Earth would the ideal solution be somebody that nobody wanted because they weren't even a choice? It's delusional to think that a candidate completely unvetted in this process is the ideal solution.
