So the Iowa youth vote was higher than 2008 or 2016. It seems like vote was depressed in older voters. I think Bernie not expanding the electorate in Iowa is maybe an oversold narrative. If a candidate turns out young voters beyond what Obama did in 2008, that candidate would win in a general imo.

    My vote preference:

    Bernie
    Warren
Biden Pete Steyer everyone else running basically even Deval Patrick
    Trump
    Tammy Baldwin

I mean if you'd prefer Biden or Pete to be the nominee over Baldwin then maybe I'm wrong about people's willingness to compromise. Maybe the right also feels the same way and would see Baldwin as just as bad as Warren or Sanders in which case sure whoever you pick no one will be happy so might as well piss off as few people as possible.

But I personally think Biden and Pete both kinda suck whereas Baldwin still has a strong progressive record and would be able to do a good job presenting a platform that is the DNCs, not just hers, which will be necessary for a candidate to do if none of them were actually able to put forth a platform the majority of party was able to get behind.

So you don't want to compromise? Or you'd just rather compromise with fucking Joe Biden?

  8. It's true! Hurts the conspiracy angle a whole lot, but it's definitely true.

  13. For the last time: Tammy Baldwin isn't a compromise. Installing a rando isn't compromising with anyone, yah might as well pick one of us out of a hat and say "go lose to Trump."

The Trump ads write themselves after that kinda disaster.

Mitch is fuming right now. He was definitely planning on at least holding the GOP together and then getting one or two Dem votes (Manchin and Jones) to claim a bipartisan acquittal. Now it’s the Dems who get to claim bipartisan support for removal. Love it.

If Baldwin has a good record she should run, gifting her the nomination just wreaks or corruption and disdain towards voters and organizers, not even to mention the candidates. I’d rather a thousand Bidens be president than this dumb as fuck scenario.

Going with an alternative option that is no ones first choice but everyone can still get behind is practically the definition of compromise...

  22. You keep saying this part, but it keeps not being remotely true ... which is why the word "compromise" continues to not be the one you should be using.

It’s making me so mad I can’t stop. I had no opinion of Tammy Baldwin but now I hate her and would rather have Hillary lose again and just nuclear war finally hit it was a good run.
