4-5 months to unify a party that has been fractured for years? Idk what you think can be done to unify the dems at this point but it's certainly madness to suggest a candidate that didn't even campaign could be the one to do it.

Before the 2012 hard right swing, he was both a relatively moderate Republican AND a dude with strong religious convictions. Couple those two things with the fact that he’s probably in literally the only red state where Trump attacking him isn’t gonna hurt him in a potential primary.

 

I'd be completely down for a shorter election. But this has been going on over a year already. So, yeah, I don't think 4 months is going to be enough time to unify the party over some newbie.

Romney is more popular in Utah than Trump is so he really isn’t risking much by doing this.

But also, like I said before, you love to see Mitch be made to look like a fool. He couldn’t keep the caucus together on this one.
