It seems like everyone is overlooking the second article of impeachment. I can understand why Republicans would pretend that withholding aid from Ukraine to investigate Biden is somehow not a crime (it is), but how can anyone deny that he obstructed the investigation? It's so blatant, and out in the open, and nobody gives a single fuck. I'm so angry today. Democracy is truly dead. Get ready for way worse shit now that Trump is completely untethered.

the whole "let the people decide" argument is so dumb

1. it can't be left to the people when you have a president willing to cheat to win an election
2. if we just shrug and say "oh well" that's a terrible and dangerous precedent to set for letting a president get away with whatever they want
