So I’m in the Philippines right now. There has just been reported the first case of the coronavirus here in Cebu. At a hotel there the workers were using a thermometer to gauge the temperature of guests arriving which seemed quite op to me.

I've been sayin/thinking that the people who think Biden couldn't beat Trump/doesn't maybe have the best chance to do so are crazy. It's clear from the data at least that that is not true.

The question is, does Bernie have just as good a chance/can he inspire people to replace the moderates he will almost assuredly lose. I think a lot of here believe/want to believe yes.

 

I dunno if I'm just being crazy but so far it doesn't really seem to be even as bad as the flu, no? Like obviously no way in hell I want it and such but isn't the death rate lower than flu??

Obviously it sucks that there's yet another virus that small children and eledery and those already sick have to worry about, but it's weird how much attention this is getting vs. the flu or the huge ebola outbreak in the Congo right now.

 

my friend said he’s taken care of plenty of babies with corona in the hospital he works at in New York. The virus just evolved as viruses do such as Ebola.

honestly reason why corona is getting so much attention is because of sinophobia with China being a big evil threat and all.

 

Well, anyone that has read World War Z will always be side eyeing new viruses that spring up in the middle of China while the govt kinda fudges how bad the outbreak is
