Bernie literally released a document outlining options to finance Medicare for All last year though, did he not? Can't he just point to that. Or better yet, how about reporters just look at that?

I think the concern is that that depending on what estimates you use to gauge what the healthcare costs will actually be, Bernie's plan either falls slightly short or massively short.

But like, no one questions Biden what happens to his plan if more people decide to use the government health care service that he's expecting... for some reason only the MFA plans get that scrutiny.

Don't offer specifics. No one cares about specifics. They care about vision and what the thing you're trying to do means for them. Control that narrative. Almost the entire New Deal was conceived on the fly. If the will is there you can find a way to make it happen.

It doesn't get close to specifics or full funding, it offers a variety of potential pay fors, but (depending on math) short or well short of what would probably be needed.

    Bernie Sanders’s Medicare-for-all plan, explained
The Sanders plan goes into great detail on what kind of coverage a universal plan ought to offer. But it does significantly less work explaining how this would be paid for. Instead, Sanders’s office released a paper that included this bullet-point list of possible options:

Creating a 4 percent income-based premium paid by employees, exempting the first $29,000 in income for a family of four
Imposing a 7.5 percent income-based premium paid by employers, exempting the first $2 million in payroll
    Eliminating health tax expenditures
Making the federal income tax more progressive, including a marginal tax rate of up to 70 percent on those making above $10 million
Making the estate tax more progressive, including a 77 percent top rate on an inheritance above $1 billion
Establishing a tax on extreme wealth
Closing a tax-loophole that allows self-employed people to avoid paying certain taxes by creating an S corporation
Imposing a fee on large financial institution
    Repealing corporate accounting gimmicks

I don’t think the election will be cancelled, but I do think that if he somehow loses he will declare the election a sham and refuse to leave office.

When Trump gets re-elected, the real fun part will be whether he tries to figure out a way he can run again in 2024, or whether he just refuses to leave office in 2025.
