  1. Literally not what she said. Shit like this little twerp is what "divides" the left and causes most of the stupid internet fighting.

  2. “I have no interest in discussing this private meeting any further because Bernie and I have far more in common than our differences on punditry.”

Yap, we are most certainly fucked.

  3. What I thought this morning, what I still think. It's not anti-woman, it's a commentary on 2020 politics and something lots of people talk about and discuss and think about.

As I said before I think he disagreed because he knows the sexism that runs rampant in the country, not that being a woman means you can’t win because you’re not good enough or whatever. That nuance will of course be lost on our excellent media

Why does everything the media does have to be stupid all the time?

Warren should have been more clear about that in her statement then.

  7. CNN definitely getting that ratings boost for the debate.

  10. Seemed clear to me. I don't see anything there were she accuses him of being anti-woman in the slightest.

“Bernie has been advocating for a woman to be president since at least the 80s and encouraged me to run in 2015 but in this one meeting where it was just the two of us and no one else he completely reversed course and said the exact opposite. Also he’s an important ally and a good friend”

  14. Believing and saying the first part there and also not thinking a woman can win in 2020 after 2016 and the current man in office are not incongruent.

  15. When the end result of this becomes different variations of the same "the woman is of course lying" trope; I also start to think a woman can't win in 2020.

Lol come on. You know this isn’t it. Polls aren’t showing her as competitive as she was back in October and November and it’s a month before Iowa and New Hampshire.

  17. hey that's what I said

cool except that’s very clearly not what the media is attempting it out to be?

  20. So you do or don't think she's lying?

  21. Which, I'd argue, is the problem.

Yet you seem to be pushing back against Bernie supporters arguing against that narrative and also criticizing Warren for failing to address it

I think the “he disagreed” statement was purposefully vague. She’s not lying. I’m sure he made the argument that your making. But that’s not how her campaign is framing it and it’s intentional because they know how all these dip shit journalists and news outlets are gonna take that statement.

look, if my good friend was getting dragged in the national media for supposedly making sexist statements, I would like to think that, unless I had something to gain, that I would defend them and make a very specific comment saying that the story wasn’t true. She didn’t do that. She left enough room for interpretation.

I like(d) Warren. She was/is my number two. If Bernie doesn’t get the nomination I hope she does, but this is just disappointing.

  25. I am pushing back against the "she's lying" narrative. I don't think she's lying. I think he probably said it, and it was maybe taken a different way than he intended.
