I've kind of never understood that argument. Are people really literally only motivated to push the world forward and achieve things that no one had ever achieved before because of the possibility of becoming rich? Personally, if I could be known as the guy who revolutionized personal computing and was a large part of the reason for bringing in the digital age, I certainly wouldn't need $100 billion to have the desire to do it
