    There are plenty of reasons people might have to adjust playback speeds. Maybe they have attention problems and need the faster speed to help them focus. Maybe they can't process information as quickly and need slower speeds to understand what is going on. Maybe they have a limited schedule but still want to watch everything.

    It's like getting upset that Netflix offers subtitles. There is zero valid reason to gate keep over this. All it will do is allow more people to experience netflix's content without changing anything about your personal experience unless you want to make use of the feature.
