Giuliani told Cuomo the other day they did talk to Zelensky about the Bidens as it related to a "massive bribery scheme" about 5 seconds after saying they didn't, the clip was truly something else lol

You're exactly right. He did ask to investigate a political rival's son. But, again, it doesn't prove a crime. Trump said he was investigating corruption. Again, not a crime. And, again, we all know what Trump is saying is complete bullshit. But, no crime has been proven and it will be very difficult to prove the he did commit a crime.

So it's a crime to investigate possible corruption?

Someone who wants to see Trump leave the office in complete shame, but has seen him get away with basically anything he wants for the last 2 1/2 years.

  11. Yes. Three of them, off the top of my head, in fact. The President of the United States pressuring a foreign country to investigate a political opponent would be a tremendous abuse of power (1), and how he did it is bribery (2), and a violation of 18 U.S.C. 201 (3).

It's certainly an unprecedented abuse of the powers of the presidency and exactly the kind of thing that the impeachment process was created for.

The bar for impeachment is not felonious behavior

We both want the same thing. What I am saying is that nothing has been proven at this point. Yes, absolutely, it looks like Trump is on the ropes, but nothing has been proven.

“The President, Vice President and all Civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.”
    — U.S. Constitution, Article II, section 4

I mean, there's an obvious case for bribery right there! Let alone high crimes and misdemeanors which would cover intimidation.

Not to mention that soliciting a foreign national for help digging up dirt on your political rivals is an in kind campaign contribution and 100% a crime.

It is why the Trump Tower meeting was so potentially bad for Jr.

But there certainly seems to be lots of evidence, we prove it through impeachment proceedings

I'd say, besides Giuliani admitting all this shit on national television, freezing aid to Ukraine right before the call is pretty solid evidence

This is the worst thing about Trump presidency, he has lowered the bar so low, people will convince themselves it isn't even worth enforcing our laws to stop him.

The impeachment proceeding should 100% be centered on Trump's corruption. Not just this one instance. Not just proving some "crime." Have hearing after hearing on how he is using his powers to enrich himself. Lay it all out there in the run up to 2020. All of the trips to properties that he owns. The entanglement of his children, his business, and foreign affairs. All of it.

    This should be easy.

Who's that insufferable radio dude who was calling it for Trump to win the presidency during the 2016 election? The dude with white/silver hair? Wonder what he thinks about all this (via his twitter)
