At the very least, the prison systems dehumanization of prisoners didn't do enough to protect the guy from someone trying to kill him

It also still strikes me as quite possible it simply didn't do enough to protect him from himself, intentionally turning a blind eye to an at risk inmate because they don't actually care what happens to him

Just to play devil’s advocate, I would argue the prison system cared *very much* about Epstein given his background and connections. This isn’t some random poor person. Not to be dramatic, but this is probably the closest thing in the last 20 years to, like, OJ Simpson killing himself before trial. It’s virtually unbelievable that they would let it happen, which is how you end up with conspiracies.

 

Lmao “he was a victim of our unjust prison system” is like 100% more conspiratorial than thinking he was killed. He wasn’t some random fuck thrown in jail and forgotten about. He was an extremely well connected billionaire was the core part of one of the most high profile criminal investigations in recent memory.
