Does anyone know if the Monmouth poll qualifies as a poll for the debates?

Cause this would be Yang's 4th poll at 2%, qualifying him for the debate. Would also Gillibrand's first 2% poll, and I think Steyer's second 2% poll.

This is the PA poll that had it Biden 28, Warren 21, and Bernie 12.

As someone else pointed out on twitter, overweighting college voters probably explains Warren's high number.

  5. Regarding all of the various polls, are they all using landline phones? Also, are they polling independents or only registered democrats?

For the Monmouth poll, it says 225 were cell phone and 176 were landline. and it was a combo of dems and unaffiliated voters likely to vote in the primary

Also some interesting things I found in the Monmouth poll to note:

-Obviously, Biden going up 1 point since April is very worrying. He should be dropping by now and it isn't happening
-Warren was the most favorable candidate (76%), even ahead of Biden (73%)
-72% (!!) want a strong candidate to beat Trump even if they disagree with them on most issues, rather than someone they agree with on most issues who would have a harder time beating Trump
-Healthcare is most important issues for 55% of voters, and Biden was the highest for which candidate you agree with the most on healthcare

  11. He doesn’t need new “listeners” - he needs to win a democratic primary right now. He therefore needs to go convince people that he can win an election that are going to vote for Biden instead. Rogan isn’t moving the needle he needs to move if he wants to win this election.

  16. I’m just annoyed Yang won’t drop out yet. Set the limits higher. :-p

“Last months debates do not appear to have clarified.”

Yeah, no shit. Lol. Turns out it’s tough to debate nuances of healthcare reform in 30 second snippets.

  22. Tom Steyer just buying his way into the debate and forcing two nights is gonna piss me off.

Tom Steyer is gonna be a sleeper candidate. He won't get nom but he'll get a good chunk of supporters. Money does wonders. Buy your way to the top

And climate change is a major issue, and that's kinda his thing (not that you can trust a billionaire on that), along with impeaching Trump.

Two nights is a good thing. Means the field each night is smaller each candidate gets more time.

Steyer buying his way into the debate is a pretty big flaw in the system though.

But I hope 12 candidates qualify so we get 6 each night. 11 on one night is just more of the terrible format we saw with the last debates
