Some Democratic organization in my district sent out a mailer with an application to get a ballot by mail for the November election. I didn't even know I could vote by mail, so I'm happy they did it.

 

It'll be a tremendous upset but it'd be so cool to see Gillum win.

 

I looked it up because I didn't see it on the ballotpedia early voting list, I don't see anything which is kinda odd

 

Wapo already predicted he loses because of 1.6m early voters, I hope he wins tho. You should go back just to vote lol

 

Isn't that basically an absentee ballot? In college, I was registered in my hometown but sent in a ballot by mail to vote in the 2004 presidential election since I was going to be at school on election day.

 

Yes I suppose you are correct. NJ allows no excuse absentee balloting, which I didn't know and I'm sure many people didn't know.

And looking into it further, 27 states allow no excuse absentee balloting. But how many people actually know that?

 

My license is still Jacksonville so technically I could haha. If I had a car and wanted to take off work and drive seven hours lol

 

You could've cast an early ballot actually lol just assuming here, idk if you still could but maybe an absentee ballot? Not sure what the rules there are

 

For Chris Coons being the new across the aisle moderate? haha no. I protest voted against him in 2014, but unfortunately the only non-GOP, non-Libertarian candidate on the ballot that year was this dude I had never heard of....I voted for him, and hten looked at his campaign/the 'party's website and it turns out they are pretty whacky right wingers too lol

 

I remember when this happened. Activist heckling is the weirdest tightrope for politicians to navigate. Especially left-leaning ones.

it's tough with stan culture because it's really more the monolith concept of stan culture than one particular artist's fans, like the Beyhive is the only specific toxic one I can think of and saying Beyonce fans are the worst sounds weird because who isn't a Beyonce fan
