Well with your first paragraph that’s mostly just a misunderstanding of what the terms mean. “Global warming” refers to the temperature of the earth, which in a really basic sense is proportional to the amount of greenhouse gases in the ozone.

The temperature/weather/overall climate of any given region is affected by that, but that change could come about in countless different ways. The one thing that is universally expected is an increase in extreme weather events (droughts, hurricanes, floods, and even snowstorms) of a degree that most regions aren’t used to or capable of properly dealing with. So something like an increase in average snowfall is also evidence of climate change ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Eh, ignoring Trump is fine but its not virtuous. He's the head of executive policy in the country and is largely using it to further oppress the poor and disenfranchised, and opening the floodgates to fossil fuel companies and other polluters. At least be aware that for those impacted he can't be ignored.
