Does anyone here freelance? If so, have you ever dealt with a situation where you made too much one year and had to change your insurance because you're technically ineligible just because you had one fluke year? I'm looking into the union now but was curious if anyone has had this situation and had any good advice.

I'd talk to an accountant and ask their recommendation. It would depend what you wanted to do with your income, could you put it away in a ROTH-IRA or something and have it be tax deferred? I still think you'd be SOL on the insurance though, from my remembering. Depends on your situation and these questions are why I finally was like fuck it and got an accountant that could help with business/freelancing stuff.

That's kind of where I was too when I was asking earlier. I feel like so many liberals and leftists are playing down this meeting by saying "well it wasn't enough so it doesn't matter." Like, do folks honestly think everything was going to be addressed in one shot? This is Trump and north Korea.

One thing I haven't seen a lot and what I think is the main driver is how this impacts China America relations. Really the Korea situation is one with China. So we piss off emperor xi with talk of tariffs etc and suddenly we're trying to make nice with north Korea and want to remove our troops from South Korea. All of that is to make nice with China, imo.
