wrap yourself in petals for armor.

Schultz's book's cover: "A journey to reimagine the promise of America"

Is it by starting a corporation to then build your fortune off the backs of cheap labor and then in order to please shareholders slash benefits, wages and hours and when shit starts going bad you hand the reigns over to some other white dude to finish the job because you want to maintain some sort of identity as this progressive and socially aware definitely-not-a-plutocrat savior?

He said he never wanted to become Mcdonald's, didn't want to bring ovens into the store to interfere with the smell of coffee, and yet when he saw how profitable breakfast sandwiches could be, he wanted a piece of that market. He bought espresso machines that are automated and complete shit and break constantly, we spend more money fixing them than it's worth but it's fine! He implemented awful floor standards in the name of "efficiency" dictating where employees could be depending on how many were on the clock and ended up making things worse, then started slashing hours and making you do more work with less people, had DM's go into stores and fuck them over if they didn't do it the way some random high-ups who have never seen the inside of a Starbucks said it should be done, and I could really go on and on.

I basically saw the transformation from a company that at the very least was interested in how they were perceived by the public, got stock and health benefits and decent wages and enough hours to live on, to a company that was interested in profit margins and stockholders and the illusion of quality over the mental and physical wellbeing of the "partners" that they constantly put in the line of fire.

  7. Warren joined the University of Pennsylvania Law School as a full professor in 1987 and obtained an endowed chair in 1990 (becoming William A Schnader Professor of Commercial Law). She taught for a year at Harvard Law School in 1992 as Robert Braucher Visiting Professor of Commercial Law. In 1995, Warren left Penn to become Leo Gottlieb Professor of Law at Harvard Law School.[32] As of 2011, she was the only tenured law professor at Harvard who had attended law school at an American public university.[35] Warren was a highly influential law professor. Although she published in many fields, her expertise was in bankruptcy and commercial law. In that field, only Bob Scott of Columbia and Alan Schwartz of Yale were cited more often than Warren.

Doing more than most of us have in an entire lifetime.

Yeah, personally I would wait until at least after the debates start. That seems most appropriate
