It was made clear later, with different tweets posted, that Gillum was far more problematic on the issue than his first tweet indicated. It was also made clear by me from the get go that simply celebrating Maduro being on the outs, and nothing else, was not going to kill someones chances with me. So with that said, if literally all Bernie said was the first two tweets in that thread, it wouldn't kill his candidacy for me. The 3rd tweet just makes me happier that I didn't write him off after the first two.

Literally no other context was provided when I said what I said. The only context provided was a tweet in which Gillum said he was happy Maduro was out. You didn't even know that about him until Wharf posted that tweet. There was no context to remove at the time. The context was "Andrew Gillum is happy Maduro is out", that was the context. And I said, in that context, it's not a candidacy killer for me. And I'd still very much like him in the senate over both Bill Nelson or Marco Rubio, even with the additional knowledge of how shitty his view is on Venezuela.

 

I really don't think it's all that hard to understand.

 

You not getting the context and continuing to argue about it after it was pointed out, and then using a Bernie statement that has far more substance as a “point” that it’s the same makes me think you STILL DON’T understand.
