They didn’t just wake up one day thinking liberals were stealing social security for refugees that are also murderers. They’ve been manipulating by years of propaganda. These people were created by repeating lies over and over into echo chambers, where the lies only got more extreme as time went on to the point that they’re completely detached from reality.

 

Yeah, not really sure what the answer is. Maybe some kind of law that requires journalists to cite sources when using statistics or risk losing their license? The problem is that Fox & Co all spew this garbage under the banner of "opinion".
