"When you're charged with working together for most of the remainder of your life, you have to create a relationship," Sotomayor said in an "Axe Files" interview airing Saturday.
"The nine of us are now a family and we're a family with each of us our own burdens and our own obligations to others, but this is our work family, and it's just as important as our personal family.

"We've probably spent more time with each other than most justices spend, who have spouses, with their spouses," she added.”

Some of the documentaries do a really good job of not whitewashing the story. I’m blanking on which one it was in particular but there’s definitely one that spends a ton of time talking about his history in the black community and how deeply he ingratiated himself there and showed the demographics of who exactly was taken advantage of. I’m glad the common narrative about him seems to be changing from the “ha ha drink the kool-aid” to being more aware of just how insidious and controlling and terrifying what he did was.
