What surprises me is that Facebook employees are still at their desks after finding that their company was actively attempting to discredit activists. No doubt some of them are shook. No doubt some of them will make public statements against their company’s policy. And those are needed. No doubt there will be internal spirited conversations within the company. And those are needed as well. But there won’t be a walk-out. I say this hours after the article was released. But I doubt that I’ll have to come back to this paragraph and revise it. I wish I wasn’t so sure of that. But I am.

  11. The Brexit situation is so funny. I can barely keep track of it. I don't even know whether to hope for the general or not at this point. Labour negotiating Brexit would have three main aims, the two that all parties would have: keep northern ireland from becoming a failed state economically and a battleground militarily (again), and keep the UK economy from immediately going into the shitter. But Labour has to also negotiate so as to not hamstring themselves implementing socialism.

The mainstream suggestions for how to achieve those three goals are mutually contradictory. So Labour would have to be very very creative. It's going to be an extremely hard decision to decide whether to go for the People's Vote (which would mean no Brexit, basically) or to try to do some kind of Lexit. So far they haven't decided which to support as an opposition party - mostly because their own party is split but also, I think, because it makes it easier to snipe at the Tories when you dont have to defend your own position - but if they win, or even if they run, they're not going to be able to continue like that.
