Gonna send in my ballot today. As much as I hate Bob Menendez and will hate another 6 years with him, I can’t possibly allow the seat to go red to a guy who was CEO of a a pharmaceutical company and raised the price of a cancer drug to make himself more money, so that’s that.

Also a local question on my ballot asks about raising $200,000 through a tax increase to provide a police officer to each school in town. I’m inclined to vote no for two reasons: 1. Police officers in schools don’t seem to really be that helpful and the schools are already pretty safe here 2. The cops in my town median salary is over $100,000, which is ridiculous (especially in his town where the crime rate is so low so the cops really don’t do anything) so instead of making us pay more in taxes, how about reduce the pay of those overpaid guys, or just don’t hire new ones and use the force you already have. But I also don’t want to seem like a heartless person for voting no to add security to the schools because God forbid something happens
