First US study of Omicron VE against hospitalization that I've seen. Looks likr 4-5x reduced risk of hospitalization for "fully vaxxed" and another slight reduction for boosters, although not as much as I would have expected. Plus the first tweet in the thread shows a 50% reduced risk of hospitalization from Omicron (not quite the 80% initially reported in South Africa but still, while I wouldn't necessarily call it good news, it shows that this is nowhere near as bad as it could have been)

 

i dont know how any progressive minded person could have lived in america for the past 6 years and think hillary has any realistic chance of winning a rematch against trump but thats just me

You know, the cynic in me is starting to think that, as the cascading effects of Reaganism converge with Covid devastating the workforce, the resource holders are weighing whether they should puppet some distracting, larger-than-life demagogue again or continue to pacify the white elite by pulling from a dynastic pool of pre-approved entrenched political noblemen to vote for like our lives depend on it

I doubt Trump'll get another chance, though. He only made it 4 years because he was catastrophic for our global soft power
