I registered an adorable old lady last night that had tested positive earlier in the day. She walked back up and asked “I had a big gathering at my house Christmas Day, do I need to tell them?”

Yep, sure do. And tell them not to rush in here for a test.

  3. Been thinking about how many more positive cases there actually are right now. If you buy an at-home rapid test and it winds up positive, you’re not really reporting that to any agency.

Plus people who don’t have to get a test for work or plan to go to gatherings soon. I think the biggest failure in educating the masses is that you can be asymptomatic, not know you’re sick, and still spread it to others

Still testing negative despite some pretty heavy congestion. Not worse than a typical cold. Wife’s doing much better than she was three days ago after her positive test.

Keep testing and take a PCR test if you can

My girlfriend had to wait 4 hours in the cold for a test today. Kinda counterproductive to being sick. I think we'll just wait it out at home. Testing being so limited is a nightmare.

Not trying to scare you but I would definitely go if you can. Once plaque forms it can only be removed by the dentist and you don’t want that building up.

My sister just went to the dentist last week for a cleaning after not going for 2 years, nothing bothering her or anything, and she said they told her she has “3 very small cavities”. She doesn’t have insurance and the cost to fill them is $500 which sounds ridiculously expensive.

And I totally get that some people may simply not be able to afford it, which sucks, but if laziness is your only reason, I would highly recommend making an appointment. You don’t wanna not go and then in a few years start having expensive problems because you didn’t go.

I recently went to the dentist for the first time in a couple of years as well and I've gotta get a crown, which is going to cost around $700 AFTER insurance. It's terrible!

I ended up not getting tested, seems so stupid I have to expose people on public transit and stand in line for hours outside to get one. I very likely have it though I feel fine after just a couple days of vaguely feeling sick but I was very very directly exposed. Whatever. By Monday at the latest I’m good to resume my life assuming I still have no symptoms like today

The booster has definitely made me more tired today. All I want to do is be home in my bed sleeping.

Lol so when I got out of rehab last month they forced me to do an outpatient program for aftercare, I said okay find a place near me that takes my insurance. They did and it seemed fine, I went and did my intake and have been going for four weeks and it’s been cool. Last night I randomly got on my health insurance portal to check my claims with my psychiatrist, completely unrelated, and I found the outpatient program is only partially covered and I now owe my insurance company 1500 dollars. Nobody at the program told me and nobody from my insurance company told me. If anyones wondering what the state of addiction treatment is like right now, this is it apparently. Now I can’t continue the program and it was doing a lot for me which sucks but thankfully I have other shit I’m doing that it’s not a huge risk to stop going to IOP but people in worse situations than me are routinely getting fucked out of treatment because of insurance. Not to mention the many people who have no insurance at all but even if you do they hardly cover anything when it comes to addiction, just what they’re legally obligated to. At least that’s how my market place insurance functions, people with primo private insurance can get anything covered I’m sure. Great system.
