Gotta say, you'd never get a republican pres who would maybe consider possibly letting you pay back your student loan a little later than before. These parties are NOT the same.

  4. If Democrats actually did what they ran on, my issues with them at least could be on new things I think they should do, or more of what they should do ... but instead I find that I watch them run, I agree with what they say they want to do, and then when they're in office they have excuses for being unable to do all the shit I just voted for them to do. And I'm really tired of excuses while the other guys are like "yeah, we'll literally break democracy to lower some taxes for our boys" -- the democrats, by and large, say they want the things I want, but their actions rarely match up and never match my intensity, especially right now (covid, houselessness, etc. etc. etc. etc. foreverandeveramen).

What a dumb fucking argument to waste time on.

One party wants absolute power and will ruin civilians lives in getting that.

The other party wants to share power equally with the other party who wants all the power, while either refusing to/are unable to improve the lives of civilians.

people are out here dying. I have a molar I can’t afford to get fixed in the richest country in then word and people are trying to argue if millionaires who hold office seemingly in perpetuity are democrats or not.

It’s also just very obvious that some people haven’t had the curse/privilege of voting for Dems for nearly 20 years and watched them accomplish very little at all in that time frame.

Saw it said yesterday, democrats are controlled opposition to give the GOP legitimacy. that’s it. that’s all they do.

And not sure why we're acting like dems have been great at shaping the courts when they are in power.

Let's see both parties are pro capitalist differing on a matter of degree. Both warhawks, both like imprisoning people, both like exploiting people and resources worldwide, both pro war on drugs, both don't do shit about people dying from a pandemic, both hate progressives whether domestic or abroad. One party uses the unfiltered cruelty of the other to basically extort it's constituents and somehow always has a reason why they can't do most of the shit they promised they would do. So different though.

I've always wanted to create like a shadow government, I feel like any group of people would be better at coming up with laws to fix our broken country than the exact people we have in Congress. They should just be writing laws and posting them, we could do hundreds a day. If I was President I'd be doing hundreds of executive orders daily, clogging the courts with them, working through the Senate is like fully useless.

There are literally thousands of things that could improve the state of living in this country that no one is fighting for or even talking about, all discussion is limited to a handful of proposals that arbitrarily have to be linked together in massive packages because everything has been getting more and more broken over the decades its been broken. Abolish the Senate, its been long overdue.

The only chance the Democrats have in the midterms is Trump starting his own political party.

But the results aren't the same either. That's kind of my point. Even in the most cynical view, you can look at the last two administrations and see that the policy outcomes on a large number of things were very different!

Is this the same deal that earlier this week there was that leaked email of hte kelloggs people gloating about the workers not actually getting anything out of it?
