Unsurprisingly, NH just found its first Omicron case

Our health secretary apparently believes the true number of people being infected with Omicron in the UK is 200,000 every day atm. That's... insane. Every person in the country will get it in the next month if that's the case.

 

i'm not paying back shit and I'm not voting for any federal dems for the forseeable future. fuck em

 

also where's the fucking memo on if he can forgive the loans or not. if it said he couldn't he'd be waiving that shit everywhere i'd imagine. release it

 

Probably next to the memo that says he doesn’t have to lease the gulf to oil and gas companies when he did it anyway.

I feel like the immediate assumption should be no, they're just doing it based on maximizing profit. But even if there was some sort of legal thing with it, I see no reason why a company couldn't put a rule in place but never actually enforce it (or make it a slap on the wrist thing rather than outright firing someone). The odds that something would happen is so low anyway and, in the case of a lawsuit, you could still say "well, we told them not to"

My parents were suppose to leave today to go on vacation out of the country for a week. They needed a negative test within 72 hours to fly so they got tested on Friday at CVS. Well, they didn't get their results in time so they missed the flight and couldn't go.

Seems weird cause I had to get tested last Monday and went to CVS and got my results late Tuesday night. I guess maybe the weekend caused some delays. But we're just taking it as a sign that something would have happened like they would have got covid while there and been stuck there for christmas if they went since you also need to get tested to come back
