The bigger cudgel would prob be the dental/vision/hearing for Medicare. It might be a huge pain in the ass to make it temporary but it’s also easy to get old people to get really pissed off at losing their benefits, and politicians tend to care since they know the olds vote

The first takes a blurred image and sharpens it using machine learning to envision what a clearer picture would look like; the second tries to envision the covered part of a person’s face using machine learning models that fill in missing details of an image using a best guess based on statistical patterns found in other images.

it's been the reality since the 2020 election that if Dems aren't aggressive on climate change now while they have the white house and house and a 51 majority in the senate then nothing else matters. If the flimsy infrastructure bill is going to water down climate change proposals NOW then we ain't getting shit "later on." there is no "later on" that matter, it's now. right now. if it gets watered down even further then enjoy your next few years on earth while they're somewhat tolerable in the US because we're fucked in the coming decades.
