I always think of Jeff Winger saying to Troy Barnes on his 21st birthday “welcome to the final chapter of your life. Luckily, it’s also the longest.” and it’s helped me never really feel like I’m aging too quickly. I think I’ve also always felt old lol so I’m just approaching my most natural state.

Hey, I didn’t think I’d make it this far. I’ll take any time I can get. Hopefully now it’s a fuck ton more.

My husband told me yesterday he thinks I’ll freak out when I hit 40. I said huh? That would mean I survived 20 years of my illness. Let’s party.

I turned 35 in April and might as well be a foot in the grave. I’ve felt so ancient.

30 was definitely the dividing line for me, where I started to feel older physically. Like when you're younger and hear older people complaining about how their back hurts, and you sort of roll your eyes as if they're just being dramatic. But then one day it just started hurting and I was like "oh I get it now". It fucking sucks.

Turning 27 on Tuesday. The weirdest part of getting older is that when I was in undergrad I would think like “Oh 25-30 is SUCH a big difference from where I’m at right now,” and now that I’m at that age I don’t feel like I’ve actually grown into whatever subsequent “stage” I thought was supposed to occur, so I’ll reflexively think that high school/undergrad was just a couple years ago and then remember that it was actually already 5-10 years ago and then feel a deep sense of dread. Like that there were people who made up my entire world during those years who I haven’t said a word to in that long
