Gee, maybe all the articles repeated ad nauseam of "is Biden the most progressive president since FDR?", "is Biden going too far/doing too much?", "what happened to the old moderate Biden?", etc. from the first months of the presidency in response to his support of policies universally embraced by Democrats and with significant support from independents and some Republicans created a false narrative that will hand Congress right back to the Republicans. Who would've guessed?

I guess Nate doesn't realize that most anthropologists pre-1980 or so were sent by colonial officials or were helping (directly or indirectly) the US military/CIA to "win the hearts and minds" of the "primitives" before they allied themselves with the Soviet Union. Much of it is still lefty in many ways, but more because it is relativistic than because it critiques colonialism and imperialism. And so much sociology in general is quite conservative, or at least part of the "Third Way" nonsense of the Clinton years. True, most college professors in my experience will either nudge students towards critique of this stuff (all though some will outright say that this is awful), but it's all still required reading as "classics" in the field. Readings are typically quite intellectually pluralistic in any field.

Plus, the above paragraph is me trying to put forth a genuine argument. But Nate can't be genuine here when he's ignoring the literal attempts at censorship and modern day book-burning that the right is trying to do with their anti-"CRT" crusade
