  1. I have a couple friends where both make over 6 figures, and their amount of "dgaf" seems to be pretty high.

Will say, the duel income is quite nice. Well, until a global pandemic you know, ruins that shit.

Honestly, I'd probably just look at the color/design of the flag and see the name and assume it's pro-Trump. It's like the people who have done variations on the MAGA hats. It always requires a second look for me

Or you have twins and the cost of child care is more than one of your salaries.

Working at a Los Angeles area public school and a teacher can hit 100k by their 12th year of teaching if they have an M.A.

coincidentally, I just saw this. I want to know where I can get internet for $20 and a *squints at notes* house cleaner for $30.

For me personally, buying a house took about 5 years of active planning where we budgeted extremely strictly. Paying the actual mortgage afterwards was an adjustment from rent because it was higher, but it was doable.

And then having kids - financially speaking - was like being hit with nuclear fucking bomb.

Tbf it’s close…I think it tops out at like 91K right now. We renegotiate our contract every 3 years or so and all the salaries usually go up by 1-2% when we do

I’m in school administration so make decent money for being in education but I’m the only one in our Central Office that isn’t over $100K (I’m also like, 20 years younger than everyone).

If I had my same position for a corporation, I’d be making TONS more. I had a recruiter from a large corporation reach out to me in January and asked if I’d be interested in hearing about their internal communications position and I said sure and she asked me how much it’d take for me to leave my job and I said $110K and she literally laughed and said “I assume that’s less than what you make now? If you get an interview ask for much higher”

I'm not advocating that any person should clean another person's house for only $30 a month either - I'm advocating that this graph can go fuck itself. Big side eye at that 'Donations' number as well... Every month? I don't believe you, you figment of some overpaid boomer's imagination!
