When we first moved into our house it was defaulted at 78 and it was mostly fine. Now we generally keep it on 75 or 76. Tbh I think it runs more than it should though

I said what I said I will not be reading the replies!

I just don't think most people will notice the temperature difference between 70-75 and it's not worth the extra strain on the grid/the pollutants it puts out (not to mention the cost savings you'll see, too)

I know I'm in the minority when I say 78 is fine too but I'll concede at 75 ;)

if it gets above like 75 I genuinely feel like I'm gonna get dehydrated and pass out, I'm very temp sensitive
anything below 70 and it feels like the arctic

The difference between 75 and 76 is greatly noticeable to me.

My air conditioning is usually set at 71 or 72, I'm sure a few degrees warmer would be perfectly fine too, but not 78, that is not comfortable. Anything 78 and above really the house feels gross and it's time to turn the air on.

I am so sweaty all of the time. Never goes above 68 while we’re home

Anything above 72 is unsleepable for me and really I need 68-69 to sleep well

75 here but I live in an apartment with a giant ass 16 foot ceiling in my living room in a brick building built in like 1888, so not the best insulation. It's the only temp that doesn't keep my air conditioning running 24/7.

My gas and electric can get over $200 bucks a month in the summer so I try to be mindful about cranking the AC. Thankfully my rent is cheap to offset that (knock on wood about the cheap rent).

I set the AC to 60-65 when at a hotel. I get the best sleep.

One thing I have realized since we have been back in the office one day is that they keep that place so fucking cold. Like I am wearing a fleece jacket in that building and its 90 degrees outside.

I just assume anyone who sets it over 76 has a heart of ice that keeps them cool in the heat.

lies we all know you keep it at 69

Here we have the air on 73 during the day but auto-set it to 71 at night because it would get very uncomfortable in my room and my brother's otherwise. Now, we have no issues.

But being fully honest, when I lived by myself, I set my shit to 69 (stop. don't say what you're thinking.) and was happy as a clam that isn't hot.
