If I just came from outside in the heat or something I can get in with the water cold for a minute or so, but after that I need it to be back to hot.

Why on earth would you make it cold before you get out? Last thing I want to do is be cold when I get out of the shower

 

There was a time when I did the "super cold at the end" part because I have a weird problem of sweating after a shower, which makes getting ready in a hurry kind of a terrible experience. Didn't help :(

 

Reading this post with ncarrab's comment about serial killers in mind.

 

It's really refreshing! Like jumping into a cold lake or pool after being in the heat. But it's not long enough to make me actually cold, though it does help me not sweat after I get out of the hot shower into the hot bathroom. The cold water also stimulates your blood flow so you don't really feel cold once you dry off.

Matty's weird take aside, I think maybe it would be a good idea to use trains to move from very populated areas to sparsely populated areas and maybe you can plan communities and movement around that.

This sums up my feelings on how I looked at country music for years. Yes, I always listened to Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, and others from those eras when I was growing up, but I HATED popular country music with a passion after 9/11. I'm so glad I changed my tune thanks to Chris Stapleton, Brothers Osborne, Kacey Musgraves, and a few others that popped up in the last decade. Still hate the mainstream bro-country garbage where it's the same song rewritten 5000 times and they dress and act like giant douche canoes.

 

and yet a cop can indiscriminately kill your dog just for simply walking towards them and receive no penalty whatsoever.

my wife bought a bed for the cats and I'm like, animals don't need beds. i rarely ever seen them use it. anyone's pets here actually use those?

 

Yes, but mostly to hide under said beds on the hard floor as opposed hanging out on the comfy top part. Very strange

 

Can't speak for cats, but my dog uses his bed all the time.

 

for a time when our second kitty was still small they’d both use the one we have at the same time and it was the best. very spotty usage since they’ve both been full grown though

 

ours just sleep on boxes. so we did get them a scratching thing that is basically a box.

 

For cats a simple cardboard box would get more use.

 

Our dog has 2 beds. One in the living room that he never uses and one in the bedroom that he’ll sleep on 1-2 nights a week. Any cats we had growing up never slept in a bed. Just random cardboard boxes or t shirt that was on the ground.

My cat always uses his cave but he'll normaly just crush it and lay on top
