I just saw an ad for Amazon key. Why would you want Amazon to have access into your house?

 

I'm not sure I've taken a cold shower once in my life

Even on hot days, because where I'm at has AC, I still take warm/hot showers. Even after a hot run outside, still warm showers

And I always shower before bed, rarely if ever in the morning

 

I start with hot water and gradually work my way to cold over the course of a few minutes and then maintain

 

But hey, guys get suspended an entire year for pot

 

I started using water as cold as I could stand it in the shower to help alleviate / prevent razor burn, and that sorta transitioned into sometimes just taking a cold shower. I've also taken really cold baths before. They're not as relaxing as a hot bath or shower, but they have their place.

 

Late on this but a cold shower with a beer is a summer delight.

 

give me those 3rd degree burn showers, it's practice for when I go to hell

 

I'm conflicted because high school jobs are the reason my wife and I own a house now.
Curious if the article really justifies the tweet's scorn toward the headline haha

Hot or warm?

I take warm showers and then end it with cold water. Hot water is bad for hair growth, so I’ve heard, so I like to rinse with cold water before I get out.

 

i think it just sounds like another pro-cog in the system article haha.

my personal opinion is I wouldn’t begrudge a HS student getting a part time job at least, but being a teacher and someone who played sports in HS, I would encourage all my students to do sports and clubs and classes instead of working because it’s the last time in their lives they’ll be able to do any of it for free…and some activities it’ll be the last time in their lives they can actually physically do it at all without their body hating them for it lol

Agree with you 100% on the rest of it. Whereas my wife was very invested in her jobs, I worked moderately and on/off because I was invested in a few of my clubs/teams, and we talk about the experiential tradeoffs quite often.

 

its such a cliche’ but now that i spend all my working hours in a HS and see all the classes and clubs there are (after kind of ignoring that stuff when I was a student myself), I’m very much “man my teachers/parents/adults were right about this” in terms of, I shoulda applied myself and tried some shit lol. I would kill to go back so I could take photography, try out for chorus and try to be a better singer/learn music theory, maybe try a 2nd sport, do the musicals, etc.

 

Yeah I feel this hard! My wife teaches MS math and I'm always feeling a little nostalgic or regretful (or jealous of the cool new things that kids have access to!)
