I have an irrational hatred of Texas Roadhouse because their bread broke my braces off when I was a kid

 

I do too but mostly cus the food is fucking gross

 

I’m fairly certain universal healthcare in Canada is only available to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, but I don’t actually know specifically how it works. Whatever the case, it surely wouldn’t be as expensive as it is in America

 

Low key, maybe the best chain business I’ve worked for. They have an Andy’s outreach fund every employee has to pay into (I think it’s 25 cents minimum per paycheck) and that fund gets used for emergencies for employees. Had a coworker who got news mid shift that his dad died, by that evening he’d been reimbursed for his flight by this fund and I believe they covered the cost of his funeral + paid bereavement.


Also they hand cut all their meat there, which the other Texas styled steakhouses don’t necessarily do. All the bread is made in house, where as a Logan’s used to use frozen rolls.

 

Yeah there’s a Texas Roadhouse near me and I’ve always enjoyed me meal.

 

I’ve also never seen more cocaine then at the Texas Roadhouse I worked at.

 

if the manager doesnt have a coke habit do you really work at a restaurant?

 

Stops and speed restrictions through certain towns/stops would be my guesss

Aside from rampant drug use amongst restaurant employees, I’ve heard that co-workers are constantly hooking up with each other

 

Every restaurant I worked at at least 50% of the people did drugs (weed doesn’t count) and tons of people were hooking up and dating.

 

“I got bit by a monkey” has got to be one of the best conversation-starters of all-time.

a guy i used to work w had told me he fostered a monkey one time at his house among many other animals (he had worked at an animal santuarary previous). if you thought your pet was bad he said the monkey would wack off all the time and aggressively try to climb on him and pick at his skin constantly.

 

Some lady I work with had a monkey for 20 years until it died last year. I don’t really know her so I never heard any stories about the monkey.

 

My friend used to have a monkey but then he gave it to the zoo and it eventually became a movie star
