I basically already read about most/all this before and just kind of try to not think about it all hte time otherwise i'd be horribly depressed 24/7.

I don't know how climate scientists do it. I'd be so damn frustrated to be in that profession and trying year after year to gett the world to understand how fucked we are if we don't change and literally just being brushed off. I'm stubborn as hell but I think even I'd give up eventually.

Today is welcome back day at work and I'm dealing with some crippling anxiety. Everyone is so close and touchy. I've never met any of these people. It's so uncomfortable. Can't wait to go home and not do this ever again.

Inflation numbers came out today and it continues to annoy the hell out of me that we're still cocentrating on the year-over-year number when, HELLO, the world was still in the process of opening back up a year ago! Like, the way it's reported and the way people ingest a number without understanding it....fuuuuuuuuuu

The month to month inflation was .3% btw, which is the lowest it's been since last summer, and would put us on pace for a 3.6% number for the calendar year.....which is a relatively normal inflation number!

 

Thank god my work decided during the pandemic to just make us permanently "fully flexible". Meaning we can work from home if we want or we can come into the office if we want. If we decide to come into the office we actually have to book a cubicle ahead of time like we're reserving a table at a restaurant and nobody on my team does it because it's too inconvenient.
